Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd is the holding company of the Government of Brunei Darussalam to own and manage Government-linked Companies (GLCs).
We are looking for highly motivated and suitably qualified Bruneian professionals to fill the following position for one of our subsidiary company, PosBru Sdn Bhd:

– Chief Executive Officer

Responsible for the overall management of the Company in line with the Company’s strategies and policies. The position is responsible for strategising, planning, directing and leading the management team to support the Company’s strategic plan, operational requirements and achievement of business objectives, in the Postal and logistic service sector.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Leading the organisation, which includes planning, development, coordination and execution of the Company’s short- and long-term strategic plan.
  • Overseeing the development of the Company’s overall business objectives and updating the Company’s policies, systems and procedures.
  • Taking primary responsibility for the Company’s performance including revenue generation, budgeting, planning and monitoring to ensure compliance with the Board approved budget and meeting short- and long-term targets.
  • Scheduling, supervising and participating in the operational duties specific to the Company, including oversight of operational performance and data.
  • Communicating, on behalf of the Company, with shareholders, government entities and the public.
  • Assessing risks to the Company and ensuring they are monitored and minimised.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years working experience in leadership roles in Brunei and/or abroad. Relevant industry experience is an added advantage.

  • Good business acumen with sound sales, marketing and financial knowledge.

– Legal and Compliance Manager

Responsible for leading the Legal and Compliance Department in providing legal advice and ensuring effective management of potential risks, in line with the business strategy. This position is responsible for managing and executing the day-to-day work activities for the department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms of contracts and agreements
  • Ensuring the Company is in compliance with regulatory requirements, and corporate governance standards and practices
  • Act as Company Secretary and ensure the compliance of the Company and the Board of Directors with the relevant laws, legislation and regulations, as well as providing adequate support to the Board of Directors.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders in ensuring standards of documents produced and management of legal risks.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Legal Manager or similar role, with experience in corporate law and advisory. Minimum LLB or similar qualification is required. Additional professional qualification (e.g BAR or similar) is an added advantage.

Key Competencies Required

Must possess experience in contracts drafting and negotiations. Knowledge of laws and compliance is required. Possesses outstanding communication (both spoken and written) and interpersonal skills.

– IT Manager

This position has oversight over all IT (Information Technology) functions in the Company, including, but not limited to, planning and implementation of the appropriate IT solutions. Also responsible for the establishment of policies and Standard Operating Procedures in line with limits of budget, time and specifications of the Company, to achieve greater business efficiency through process optimisation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Implement, manage, deliver and support IT services and solutions to meet operational and business goals
  • Devise and establish IT policies, governance and systems to support the implementation of IT strategies
  • Procure efficient and cost effective technological infrastructure, hardware and software
  • Maintains and evaluates Vendor deliverables on timely basis, and ensuring agreements and contracts are monitored effectively.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 5 years of work experience as a IT Manager or similar role, with experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications. BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant fields are required.

Key Competencies Required

Must possess experience in controlling information technology budget, and in strategic and tactical planning. Analytical and critical thinker. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership and organisational skills are essential.

Leadership Position for GLCs

Responsible for the overall management of the Company in line with the Company’s strategies and policies.   • Communicating, on behalf of the Company, with shareholders, government entities, and the public.
  • Assessing risks to the Company and ensuring they are monitored and minimised.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 15 years working experience in leadership roles in Brunei and/or abroad with in-depth understanding of commercial procedures and standards. A strong business-related degree or higher is expected.
