Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) announced the start dates for RB’s expanded RBLink services to Sandakan and Tawau, Sabah. Sandakan services start operating from October 28 and Tawau from November 11. Sales start with immediate effect with promotional fares starting from MYR265.
RB began operating RB Link services connecting Brunei and cities in the island of Borneo on July 31 and announced its expanded services to Sarawak with flights to Bintulu and Sibu.
The announcement of the added RB Link destinations was made by RB’s Chief Commercial Officer, Martin Aeberli, at a press conference and agents briefing held in Kota Kinabalu yesterday.
“Kota Kinabalu is RB’s first Malaysian destination which we operated on the very first day of operations in 1975. To date, Sabah still remains as one of our most popular destination with our guests from all around our network. Thus, we’re extremely excited to expand our services to Sabah with two more destinations; Sandakan and Tawau under our RB Link Service,” said Aeberli.
Also present at the event were Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Sabah William Baya and Acting Consul General of Brunei Consulate Mohd Asulhamhaidi bin Haji Md Ashrane.
Flights to and from Sandakan will begin operations from October 28, while flights to and from Tawau is effective from November 11 respectively.
RB Link flights will be operated by Malindo Air on ATR 72-600 aircraft.
