Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd is the holding company of the Government of Brunei Darussalam to own and manage Government Linked Companies (GLCs).
We are looking for highly motivated and suitably qualified Bruneian professionals to fill the following positions:


Internal Audit Department

Internal Audit Manager
Employment Type: Permanent

The role is responsible for developing, planning and implementing the overall internal audit controls over financial reporting, compliance, governance and business operations. Provides DA and the Portfolio Companies with review of accounting, financial, information systems and other operations by measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of the accounting and management controls.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Business or related discipline. Relevant full/partial professional qualification such as Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CIIA) would be an advantage. Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience required. Experience in supervisory or leadership position would be an advantage.

Key competencies required:

Possess strong understanding and knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, concepts, laws, rules and regulations. High attention to detail and have excellent analytical and communication skills.

 

Internal Audit Associate
Employment Type: Permanent

This position is responsible for conducting DA’s overall internal audit system. Provides DA and Portfolio Companies with review of accounting, financial, information systems and other operations by measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of accounting and management controls.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Business or related discipline. Relevant full/partial professional such as Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CIIA) or working experience in business or finance related fields would be an advantage.

Key competencies required:

Possess good understanding and knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, concepts, laws, rules and regulations. Strong analytical, communications and writing skills with high attention to detail.


Finance and Accounting Department

Finance and Accounting Associate
Employment Type: Permanent

A Group accounting role which performs Group Consolidation under IFRS reporting requirements and ensure that compliance is maintained in accordance with the Group Accounting Policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance or related discipline. Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA/CPA or equivalent would be preferred. Experience with SAP System would also be an advantage.

Key competencies required:

Possess strong analytical, problem solving and numeric skills and have excellent communication skills.


Legal and Compliance Department

Corporate Governance Specialist
Employment Type: Two (2) Year Contract

The role is responsible for maintaining and updating existing governance frameworks and standards whilst ensuring company level compliance to the DA Corporate Governance Code and Corporate Governance Manual. This role is responsible for developing and/or updating governance business process, and administering the process for the review, revision and approval of existing company policies, manuals and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or Bachelor’s Degree in Business with governance knowledge or related discipline. Minimum of 10 years experience in corporate governance and corporate law required. Candidates with Chartered Secretarial Qualification are preferred.

Key competencies required:

Sound knowledge and understanding of governance, finance and/or risk frameworks, and expertise in Company Secretarial matters. Adept at written and oral communication and collaboration, including the ability to maintain stakeholder interaction and internal networks. Able to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.


Investment Department

Junior Investment Associate
Employment Type: Permanent

An entry-level position, which is part of the Investment Team, responsible for managing, evaluating and monitoring Darussalam Assets’ portfolio companies. The job focus includes business and industry analysis, financial and business performance monitoring and reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline (Investment, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Management and Operations Research). Master’s Degree or a relevant full/partial professional qualification or working experience in business or finance related fields would be an advantage.

Key competencies required:

Able to understand and analyse financial statements, possess strong communication skills and good analytical skills. Possess strong proficiency in Excel.
