Company introduces new product, revamped website

Mahkota Crystal Sdn Bhd, Brunei Darussalam’s first and only glassblowing company yesterday launched a new limited edition collection, Mahkota Oudh, a luxury and premium fragrance at the Mahkota Crystal Gallery and Glassblowing Studio in Kampong Lambak Kanan.

The newly unveiled fragrance comes with a decorated Keris (ceremonial Knife) perfume topper with traces of gold leaf. The hand crafted collection is limited to 100 pieces.

Inspired by oriental fragrances that capture the exotic essence of agarwood (Oudh), the perfume is a collaboration project between Mahkota Crystal and Golden Aswad Aroma Enterprise, Brunei’s leading Perfume Company specialising in Oudh.

Guest of honour Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin officiated the launch. Diplomats, senior government officials, representatives from government linked companies as well as statuary bodies and guests were present.

General Manager of Mahkota Crystal Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin bin Pengiran Haji Bakar said, “Our primary effort is to remain commercially sustainable, which is why we have developed and are executing, a marketing strategy that will boost Mahkota Crystal to higher heights, Insya Allah.”

The company is also holding ‘Mahkota Fair’ to showcase its activities from 10am-6pm today offering discounts. The event also saw the soft launching of Mahkota Crystal’s revamped website and newly introduced glass fusing workshop.
