Fostering a socially responsible culture.
As an organisation, Darussalam Assets understands the growing needs for large and small corporations to assume sustainable responsibilities outside of its core business; such as providing social contribution, economic prosperity or preservation of the environment. We want to inspire both social and economic change by solving to yield sustainable support and development for people, for profit and most importantly, for our planet. By adopting our RIGHT values and best international practices, these are the areas where Darussalam Assets can drive a genuine and positive impact for the nation.
People
Engaging our local community.
On an annual basis during the holy month of Ramadhan, Darussalam Assets organises a donation drive for underprivileged families, as part of our duty to establish a relationship with our community and to contribute to it meaningfully.... Alhamdulillah, this year we have managed to reach out to 20 underprivileged patients and their families in the Brunei-Muara district to donate household supplies, daily necessities and medical supplies, in hopes of being able to ease their burden during Ramadhan and upcoming Syawal.
This was a joint contribution from Darussalam Assets and its employees. As part of our social responsibility, Darussalam Assets aspires to continue to be able to give back to the community in the future.
Education
Special Needs Student Adoption Scheme.
Over the years, Darussalam Assets has cultivated a strong relationship with Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam; a non-Government, charity organisation committed to providing quality education, rehabilitation and training programmes for individuals with special needs.

For three consecutive years, Darussalam Assets has been a benefactor in the “Special Needs Student Adoption Scheme” launched by Pusat Ehsan in 2017. Through this scheme, Darussalam Assets has had the opportunity to provide full financial support for two (2) special needs students throughout their programs in Pusat Ehsan. Moreover, through this, our organisation has been able to sponsor the expenses of these special needs students, which include but are not limited to, learning support, rehabilitation services, activities, facilities or utilities and transportation expenses. We have the honour of investing in the life, growth and development of students of Pusat Ehsan.
We believe the need to advance our social responsibility through modes of sustainable investments for the community. This is part and parcel of our CSR initiative, which includes a focus on building and strengthening ties with the local communities, including the special needs community.
Improving Lives Through Sustainable Giving.
Challenging circumstances as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic compelled educational institutions across the nation to activate its virtual modes of teaching and learning for its students. Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd, ...a wholly-owned subsidiary of Darussalam Assets, played its part by increasing the fixed broadband data capacity to support students’ online learning to ensure a smooth transition.
In light of this, various subsidiaries of Darussalam Assets; Datastream Technology Sendirian Berhad, Berakas Power Company Sdn Bhd, The Empire Brunei, Royal Brunei Catering Sdn Bhd as well as Darussalam Assets, took the opportunity to give what it was able to as well. Through the group effort, we refurbished, reformatted, and donated a number of laptops and desktops that were then donated to students for the purpose of e-learning from home. Darussalam Assets liaised with the Ministry of Education for this initiative, with the purpose to ensure underprivileged students are able to continue having access to education despite the challenging climate.

Saving trees for your future children
Darussalam Assets recognises the need for preservation and conservation of natural resources, and the safeguarding of climate for our and your future generations. Other than taking small steps in the office to reduce paper wastage, ...Darussalam Assets has also consecutively volunteered in annual initiatives such as the nation-wide coastal clean-up campaigns annually organised by Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd (“BGC”) and Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies (“BSJV”); an initiative where various local organisations and Government bodies are invited to take part of.
Currently, we are working hard to refine and better our CSR policies, with the aim to provide a platform, not only to establish a relationship with the community but also with the environment. We aspire to be committed towards protecting the environment whilst educating and inspiring the youth on the importance of environmental conservation. We endeavour to do better always, for us and for you.
